Common Questions About Group Pilates Classes with Georgia

Do I need to bring my own mat or equipment?

  • Bringing your own mat or equipment is entirely optional!

  • Each studio Georgia teaches in can provide everything you need for the session like Pilates balls, foam block and resistance bands.

  • If you prefer to bring your own mat, feel free to.

What should I do if I have an injury or a specific issue?

  • Please inform Georgia of any injuries or concerns as soon as possible. Either before the session starts or at the beginning of the class.

  • This allows her to adapt the exercises to suit your needs and ensure you exercise safely.

Do I need to wear grip socks?

  • Grip socks are not compulsory, but they are recommended. They provide better grip on the mat and help prevent slipping during the session, especially during dynamic or balance-focused movements.

Are the classes suitable for beginners or specific groups, like pre- and postnatal clients?

  • Absolutely! Georgia's classes cater to all levels, from beginners to experienced individuals, including those who are pre- or postnatal. Her physiotherapy background ensures a safe and effective workout for everyone.

  • If you are unsure that you are suited to a group class please contact Georgia and she can advise you what she thinks is best.

How many people are in each class?

  • Georgia runs small group classes up to 15 people to provide personalised attention and hands-on guidance for each participant.

What should I wear?

  • Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers are a good idea so you can adjust for temperature changes during class.

What if I’m running late?

  • If you’re going to be late, please text Georgia as soon as possible. She’ll do her best to set up a spot for you with your equipment ready to minimise disruption.

  • However, if you’re more than 10 minutes late, it will be at the instructor’s discretion whether you can join the session. Missing the warm-up increases the risk of injury and may impact your experience in the class. Please note that you may still be charged even if you’re unable to participate.

  • To ensure a smooth and safe session, it’s always best to arrive on time!
